Laura Willig is an artist that lives in San Angelo, Texas. She has a BFA from Texas Christian University. The current series of dimensional florals features flowers and other botanical elements made entirely from acrylic paint using techniques typically used in cake decorating. Flowers and cakes are temporary, but Laura seeks to take these fleeting elements and recreate them in a more permanent way, creating relief compositions with blossoms and other dimensional elements rather than brush strokes.
